Run a giveaway for your band
Give an item of the band from your own closet to your followers, free to enter, from Manage, Giveaways.
Once you run your band's page, you can give merch to the people who follow the band. Entering is free, and every entrant follows you. The prize is an item of the band from your own closet.
How to do it
- On your band's page, open Manage, then Giveaways.
- Under New giveaway, pick the Prize from your own items of the band. Nothing to pick? Tap Post an item and add one first.
- Give it a Title, the Retail value, in dollars, the day it Opens on, and how long it Runs for, 1 to 14 days.
- Under How winners are chosen, keep Random draw or pick Top by actions, Host's pick or First to complete. With the random draw you can add Bonus entries; with the others, pick what scores or what entrants should do. What entrants see shows beside it.
- Tap Start the giveaway. It's on your band page as soon as it opens.
- Under Your giveaways, tap Numbers to follow its entries. When a winner says yes, the manager whose item it is gets Ship it, which opens the trade with their address.
Good to know
- Followers of the band who are 18 or older and live in the United States can enter. A fan who doesn't follow yet can follow and enter in one tap. The band's managers can't enter.
- With the random draw you see how many entered, never who, and only the winners are named. With the other ways to win you see who entered and what each did.
- Top by actions and First to complete give one item a place, 1 to 10 places, so pick an item for each place after the first. Host's pick asks what you'll judge by, printed in the rules word for word. Pick the winner by the date on Numbers, or the random draw picks.
- A band can run two giveaways at a time. The form shows the most a giveaway can be worth.
- Ship the prize by the date shown and tap I've sent it on the trade. A prize not marked sent in time pauses the band's giveaways for 90 days. Something wrong with a giveaway once people have entered? Write to hello@merchvice.com.
