Go live on your band's page
Streaming on YouTube or Twitch? Paste the link, tap We're live, and your page shows Live now.
When your band streams on YouTube or Twitch, your MerchVice page can point fans to it. Your page shows Live now, and followers who asked to hear get one notification.
How to do it
- On your band's page, open Manage, then Live.
- Paste your stream's link under YouTube Live or Twitch link. For Twitch, your channel's link works. For YouTube, use the live video's own link.
- Tap We're live. Your page shows Live now, with where you're streaming and a Watch button.
- When the stream ends, open Live again and tap We're done.
Good to know
- Live now comes off by itself four hours after you start.
- Followers hear only if they turned on the switch beside Following on your page, like Tell me when Velvet Ash goes live. Each fan picks in their notification settings whether it also comes by email.
- Stream dropped? Going live again within four hours of your last start counts as the same stream, so fans aren't told twice.
- Nothing loads from YouTube or Twitch until a fan taps Watch. The player then opens on your page.
- Any manager of the band can go live or end it.
