React to comments and messages
Answer a comment or a message with an emoji, and see who else did.
Sometimes a reply is too much and a like isn't enough. Comments on items, posts and long reads, and messages, all take emoji reactions.
How to do it
- On a phone, press and hold a comment's words or a message's bubble. On a computer, point at it and click React.
- Pick one from the quick row: thumbs up, heart, fire, laughing, wow or thanks.
- Your reaction shows as a chip under the comment or message, with its count. Tap someone else's chip to add the same one, or tap your own to take it back.
- To see who reacted, press and hold a chip, or rest your pointer on it. Who reacted opens beside it.
- Running a band? In the band's Messages under Manage, your reactions on a fan's message are the band's. The fan sees the band's name, never yours. Under comments, you react as yourself.
Good to know
- Reacting needs a confirmed email. You can add several different reactions to one comment or message, one of each.
- A message in Requests takes reactions once you accept the conversation.
- On comments, Who reacted counts private collectors without naming them.
- Reactions to your comments and messages reach you quietly: a line in the bell, never a push. Change that under Settings, Notification settings, Reactions, where you can also add them to your weekly digest.
- A band's own posts have their own row under them: Like, Fire and Wow, one pick each.
