Notes from a borrowed van
What the first leg of the Second Light tour taught us about sleep, setlists and the merch table.

We borrowed the van from Clea's aunt with a promise to bring it back with the same number of dents. We are at two new ones, and every one has a story.
The first week
Melbourne sold out, which still does not feel real. Auckland, New Zealand was a Tuesday and somehow louder. By the third night we had stopped writing the setlist before soundcheck.

The merch table is where we meet everyone. Jonah keeps a notebook of which towns buy the most tote bags. It is a strange and useful science.
Someone told us they drove 300 miles in a snowstorm to hear the quiet song. We played it twice.

The second leg starts soon. New song, new shirt, same van. If you see us at a gas station, say hello.
