We recorded Two Lane Heart live in one room outside Bakersfield: everybody facing each other, no headphones, one take a song if we could.
Bleed is the sound
The fiddle bleeds into the vocal mic and the steel bleeds into everything. That is the sound of the record. That is the sound of a dance hall.
If you can't hear the floor creak, it isn't country.
